The Katho Percusión Rusti-Katho flamenco cajón is a very special model. Its design is inspired by the original and historic packing crates from Peru. It has been a great success because it stands out from other cajóns thanks to its unique design and the multiple musical possibilities it offers. On both sides of the cajón, there is a wooden strip that, at the front tip, creates the typical "tack-tack" sound – a distinctive dry strike sound – that combines beautifully with the wide range of high tones and deep bass this professional cajón produces.

Body:
The body of this cajón is built using top-quality shadow plane plywood (Platanus Hispanica), 10.5 mm thick, which provides better sound performance compared to traditional birch. This wood has a beautiful grain similar to birch, but with a warmer, toasted hue.
Sourced from Spanish plantations with a designation of origin.
Soundboard:
Front plate made from birch plywood + decorative pre-composed veneer, calibrated to 3.6 mm, and finished with several coats of clear varnish. This soundboard is entirely handcrafted.
Design:
Ergonomic shape on the top front corners for greater comfort while playing. Katho Percusión logo printed via screen printing.
